Description: Our outdoor range
facility includes a short and long range. The
Short Range is up to 50 m for .22 rifles and all calibre handguns.
The Long Range is up to 500 m for all rifles (no shotguns). The
range is locked at all times and members require a key for access. The ranges are reserved at various times for club competitions and matches, and
occasionally when rented for firearms training and practice by other
groups such as the RCMP, Conservation Officer Service, and private security firms.
Location:
Our two outdoor ranges are located just west of Kamloops near the
weigh scales on the Trans Canada Hwy (heading west toward the junction
of the Coquihalla
Hwy and the Hwy to Cache Creek).
Rules: Please review and be familiar
with the long range
rules
and short
range rules.
Description:
The indoor range includes a meeting room, foyer for spectators, and 8
shooting positions. The 20 m shooting distance allows shooters to
hone their skills in a clean, heated environment in the winter so there
is no practice time required moving to shooting outdoors in the
spring/summer. The indoor range is used for handguns, Cowboy Action
Shooting, .22 rifle, and airguns.
Location:
The
indoor range is located in downtown Kamloops in the basement of the
building immediately east of the Memorial Arena
(753 Lansdowne Street).
Rules: Rules are posted at the
indoor range (and here in the near future).
