Outdoor Range open again

Our Range Warden just informed that we had a great turnout of helpers to get the range cleaned up and ready to re-open.
As of today, Friday Sept 15 2017 1pm the range is open again to all members.
Here again the rules of this conditional range access:
NO SMOKING ANYWHERE. No Exceptions.
NO OPEN FIRE OR FLAMES.
NO FIRES IN ANY WOOD STOVE FOR ANY REASON.
The dry conditions still exist but we are sure that everyone will act responsibly.
If anybody breeches these conditions we will close the range again and publicly name the person or persons responsible. Those persons can expect a life time ban for KTSA Membership
Have fun and be safe out there shooting.

Notice to All KTSA Members

An agreement has been made to re-open the outdoor range facilities with
following provisos:
NO SMOKING ANYWHERE. No Exceptions.
NO OPEN FIRE OR FLAMES.
NO FIRES IN ANY WOOD STOVE FOR ANY REASON.
The dry conditions still exist but we know that everyone will act responsibly.
If anybody breeches these conditions we will close the range again and publicly name the person or persons responsible. Those persons can expect a life time ban for KTSA Membership

We need volunteers to help fix up and clean up the entire property before any shooting will be done.

Work party volunteers can contact me directly by phone at 250-319-1916 or by email (damit22@telus.net).

Work parties will begin Friday morning 9 AM and proceed thru to Sunday evening if necessary. The idea being we can open for shooting come
Monday morning. If we are done by Saturday night work party members will know they have the range to use on Sunday. We will need soap and water and rags. Please bring a wheelbarrow if you have one along with rakes and shovels and stiff bristle brooms. Some tools may be required like weed whackers and pruning shears so bring that which you know how to use.

Thank you for your support thru this most unusual year.

Bob Hobbs F-Class Shooting event cancelled

We have had such dry conditions and because of this our Kamloops KTSA Range is still CLOSED. Due to this we are going to have to cancel the Bob Hobbs Match which was going to be held on Sept 23 + 24, 2017.

If you have not received an email about the cancellation and reading this now on our Website, please contact Brad Traynor and confirm you got the message, we want to make sure everyone knows about it.

We will be refunding any paid entry fees.
I apologize if this has caused any inconvenience but this is out of our control.

Also there are only a couple positions left for the Frosty Farky Match on October 28+29, 2017 if you would like to enter don’t wait or it will be too late. Entry Forms can be downloaded here.

Indoor Range shooting opportunities while outdoor range closed

As you know, there is normally little activity at the indoor range over the summer months.  Because the closure of our outdoor range has stretched on for a few weeks, we are adding shooting opportunities indoors.

This coming week, on Tuesday Aug. 1st, the indoor range will be open 12- 3 pm for pistol and rimfire rifle.

We would like to expand indoor shooting times, so if you are a trained RO with key and code access to the range, and would be willing to take charge of a session, please get in touch so we can set up some more times.

Immediate Outdoor Range Closure

Dear Members,

as many of you have seen, heard and even been affected, our province is in a state of emergency. Its very dry out there and relieve is not in sight for the near future.
Because of those dry conditions the KTSA Board of Directors decided to close the outdoor range as per immediate and until further notice.
Once the weather conditions change we will review the closure and inform again.
Thank you very much for your understanding!
